For my February Blind Spot pick I figured nothing would be more fitting than one of the most famous and acclaimed romantic movies of all time, All That Heaven Allows (1955).
These movies don’t shy away from deep emotions, having great potential for tear shedding. Some are depressingly sad, others too beautiful; some feel very real, others perfectly dreamy. But if you’re aiming for a good crying this Valentine’s, you’re sure to find the perfect fit amongst them.
To love someone knowing the feeling is not mutual is as selfless as it gets, but charity in the affairs of the heart seldom provides a happy ending. When I think of tales of unrequited love, three women come to mind.
